TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
- Urban Search and Rescue teams had nearly complete their first "rapid" search of Bay County on Tuesday.
- Some residents stranded by the storm spelled out "H-E-L-P" on their lawn to get the attention of rescuers.
- Michael was a devastating storm for a lot of people, but it could have been worse.
The national death toll from Hurricane Michael is unofficially up to 26 after authorities said Tuesday that 12 people were found dead in Bay County, Florida.
Prior to that announcement, the death toll was a total of 18, with eight in Florida, six in Virginia, three in North Carolina and one in Georgia. At least two of those killed in Florida died in Mexico Beach, the small town that was almost decimated when the storm hit the area last Wednesday. (USA Today)
