DABABY: Attempts Another Apology

TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

He didn’t start taking this seriously until it started impacting his income.

He could have avoided all of this controversy by just keeping his mouth shut in the first place. Or maybe letting his publicist handle the original apology.

He's a day late and a dollar short.

This guy's takeaway still seems to be that the real problem is so-called "cancel culture."

DaBaby is nearly 30 years old -- that's more than old enough to know better.

He needs to do more to show that he means what he's saying -- a large contribution to charity and a public service announcement would be a good start.

DaBaby isn't the only popular artist that's said something foul.

The statement reads in full, “Social media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate, and learn from your mistakes. As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me -- knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance -- has been challenging. I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources. That’s what I needed and it was received. I want to apologize to the LBGTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I know education on this is important. Love to all. God bless.”
