Edward and Margaret Imo Family Plaza at Missouri History Museum

May ushers in the long-awaited return of concert season at the Missouri History Museum! This popular, free outdoor concert series on the Imo Family Plaza brings lineup of spectacular shows from local musicians. Grab your blankets and lawn chairs, pack your picnic basket, and listen to music under a beautiful Forest Park sunset. Some of the area’s best food trucks will also be on hand each week.

JAM: Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars Tribute | Thursday, May 7 | 6–8pm

JAM is a high-energy live band showcasing tribute performance to Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars, celebrating more than 40 years of iconic pop music through live performances, costume, and choreography.

The Sound of Sade | Thursday, May 14 | 6–8pm

Sade is a British band led by singer Sade Adu, celebrated for its smooth blend of soul, jazz, R&B, and pop. With iconic songs like “Smooth Operator” and “The Sweetest Taboo,” the band’s elegant sound has influenced generations.

The Music of Sly and the Family Stone | Thursday, May 21 | 6–8pm

Sly and the Family Stone was a groundbreaking American band led by Sly Stone that shaped the sounds of funk, soul, and rock. Known for their diverse lineup and influential hits like “Everyday People” and “Dance to the Music,” the band promoted messages of unity and self-expression.

Diana Ross Tribute | Thursday, May 28 | 6–8pm

Known for her powerful voice, glamorous style, and commanding stage presence, Diana Ross rose to fame as the lead singer of The Supremes and went on to a legendary solo career with classics like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Upside Down.”
