iHeartMedia St. Louis continues its dedication to the African American community continues in 2019 with our 10th Annual Sista Strut on Saturday, October 5th in Downtown St. Louis at the corner of 14th and Market. For the past 9 years the Sista Strut Breast Cancer Walk has heightened awareness about the issues of breast cancer in women of color, as well as provided information on resources and saved lives of women in our community. Sista Strut also recognizes the strength of survivors, their family and friends and promotes early detection and the search for a cure.
This year we’ve added a 5K Race for running enthusiast as we strive to highlight the importance of Health and Wellness in the fight against breast cancer. The Sista Strut 5K race will take place prior to the Walkthe morning of Saturday October 5th, 2019 at 8:45am. All runners will receive a Racing Bib, Timing Chip and a 10th Annual Sista Strut T-shirt.
Sista Strut will benefit 5 organizations in the St. Louis Area, The Breakfast Club Inc., The Pink Angels Foundation, Siteman Cancer Center, The Mercy Breast Cancer Center and SSM Health- St. Mary's Hospital.
