“We were blown away by the creativity and thought poured into each submission,” Cenat wrote. “We were suppose to go live today but needed a little extra time to review them. Tomorrow DRAKE & I gonna go through some of the submission[s] with you guys, share some of my favourites and some of the not so good ones and let ya’ll know which 20 ppl are getting money to bring their treatments to life!”
Kai Cenat and Drake recently challenged fans to submit a 30-second to one-minute video treatment to the tune of the Canadian duo's popular song. The best 15 clips will be used in a massive compilation for the official "Somebody Loves Me" music video. Drizzy proposed the idea after Cenat's criticism of Drake's "Nokia" video went viral.
“This is about using your creativity, racking your brain, to make something work that’s genius,” Drake explained in a social post. “Find those ideas that are right there in front of you that everybody’s going to watch and wish they came up with.”
Kai Cenat was supposed to go live with Drake Thursday at 8 p.m., which was also the same time Kendrick Lamar and SZA would hit the stage for the first of their two-night "Grand National" tour stop in Toronto. However, Kai and Drake needed more time to review the submissions so they postponed the livestream to a later date. Check out one fan's submission below.
