Internet Trolls Strike Back At Lizzo After "Rumors"

Lizzo is AGAIN the target of online hate.

Her latest single "Rumors" featuring Cardi B dropped, and Lizzo was hit with tons of "fatphobic, racist, and hurtful" comments online.

Lizzo took to Instagram Live.

"It's like it doesn't matter how much positive energy you put into the world, you're still going to have people who have something mean to say about you. And for the most part, it doesn’t hurt my feelings. I don’t care,” she said. “I just think when I’m working this hard, my tolerance gets lower, my patience is lower, I’m more sensitive and it gets to me. People saying sh*t about me that doesn't even make sense. It's fatphobic, racist, and it's hurtful. If you don't like my music cool. If you don't like the song 'Rumors' cool. But a lot of people don't like me because of the way I look."

Hours later, Cardi B, took to Twitter in Lizzo's defense:

“When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive. When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you.Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table.” Cardi said.

"Rumors is doing great. Stop trying to say the song is flopping to dismiss a woman emotions on bullying or acting like they need sympathy. The song is top 10 on all platforms. Body shaming and callin her mammy is mean & racist as f**k."

Lizzo and Cardi B took aim at the gossip mill on the new single "Rumors."

The pair dropped a video, which finds Cardi and Lizzo embodying Greek goddesses.

The duo's first collaboration, is dedicated to all the critics, and haters who've come at them with wild rumors. Lizzo is shown dancing in a gold, toga-inspired dress as she's surrounded by statues, and backed by her own Hercules-inspired chorus of dancers.

Cardi, is shown sitting atop a penis throne, wearing a loincloth and a golden breastplate.

"Rumors" is Lizzo's first music since Cuz I Love You, in 2019.

Cardi B wood Lizzo for a collab months ago! Cardi took to Twitter to over photos of Lizzo,

Lizzo did not react to Cardi's response, but did reshare Cardi's initial tweet on her Instagram Story.

"Damn this might get me back on Twitter," she wrote.

Lizzo recently joined SZA on Valentine's Day may for a Galentine's Day celebration.
