Megan The Stallion Gets Emotional On SNL

Megan Thee Stallion was visibly shaken during her performance on Saturday Night Live.

Pulling double duty as both host and musical guest, she wore a formal evening gown with a sash reading “Miss Anxiety,” during her performance of the song “Anxiety.” Standing in a v-formation with her dancers, each representing one of the personal issues in the song, their sashes read: “Ms. Underpaid,” “Ms. Overworked,” “Ms. Overwhelmed,” “Ms. Overlooked,” and “Ms. Insecure.” As Megan Thee Stallion closed out the song her face expressed the serious message of the song.

Last month Megan Thee Stallion released the video for the single “UNGRATEFUL!”

Directed by Collin Tilley, the video features Key Glock, and follows Megan’s video for “HER,” a song that honors powerful, independent women.

The Traumazine album features Dua Lipa, Jhene Aiko, Rico Nasty, Latto, Lucky Daye, Pooh Shiesty, Sauce Walka, Big Pokey and Lil Keke.

Megan Thee Stallion had to cough up, $250,000 to secure a verse from Future on her new album.

“I had the beat for ‘Pressurelicious,’ right? I recorded the song … and I’m like, ‘You know what? This would really sound hard if Future was on it,'” Megan said. “I feel like being a woman in the industry, reaching out to a man trying to get a feature is always going to be a task. You never know what to expect. So how I went about it was, ‘OK, somebody figure out what’s Future feature price. Let’s just ask him what’s his feature price.’ And they was like, ‘OK, $250[K]. He wants $250K.’ I was like, ‘OK, bet. Somebody go pull $250,000 out the bank and go drop it off to Future and tell him I need the verse before he leaves.'”

Both Future and Meg were in Miami at the time and she didn't want Future to leave the city, so she had her team deliver the money to him in a “backpack.”

“He gave me the whole Future experience,” she explained. “Because he gave me the whole song, I had to go in the studio and I had to, like, put it together. Then when I got his verses, I was like, ‘I’ve got to write some new verses,’ because I’ve got to make this make sense.”

Megan Thee Stallion's Traumazine is an 18-track project comes with "Pressurelicious" featuring Future, "Ungrateful" featuring Key Glock, "Consistency" featuring Jhene Aiko, "Budget" featuring Latto, and features with Pooh Shiesty, Rico Nasty, Lucky Daye, Sauce Walka, Big Pokey and Lil' Keke. It also contains "Her," "Flip Flop," "Not Nice" and "Plan B."

Meg will be performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, and fans can watch live on September 23rd and 24th on The CW app and CWTV.com.
