VACCINES: White House Steps Up Push With Longer Hours, Free Stuff

The drive includes extended hours at pharmacies and free child care and beer

TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

As of now, just less than 63 percent of adults in America have had at least one shot.

More than 12 states have passed the 70 percent mark.

I don't get why people are still holding out. The side effects from the vaccine most likely can't be as bad as getting COVID and possibly dying.

Did someone say "free beer"? Anheuser-Busch is offering free beer on the Fourth of July to those 21 and over who have been vaccinated.

The White House has stepped up its efforts to get more Americans vaccinated. They're working to extend the hours of pharmacies offering the shots and are offering free child care and even free beer through Anheuser-Busch to those who get vaccinated.

The new push is part of the effort to get more Americans vaccinated as we head toward the Fourth of July. President Biden hopes that by then 70 percent of American adults will have received at least one shot.

Biden said in a speech on Wednesday, "If you're too busy at work or school, you can get vaccinated around the clock." (Politico)
