ICE CUBE: Get Vaccinated for a Movie? Oh Hell No

The rapper turned actor turned down a $9 million paycheck that would have required him to get a jab.

TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

This move has earned I’m praise from the right. The same folks who would be offended by N.W.A. songs like “[Eff] the Police.”

Some cities and states were giving out a hundred bucks to get your shot -- imagine if we all could have gotten $9 million to get vaccinated.

Anyone who can turn down $9 million must feel pretty secure with the current state of their finances.

It's not like he'll never be able to work again because of this.

Stars are used to being able to make all sorts of demands and have them met. It's a big deal that studios are telling name actors that they have to get vaccinated if they want to come to set.

This isn't just about a single actor's decision just like it isn't about a single athlete's. Your choice not to get vaccinated is potentially putting the rest of the cast and crew (or team) at risk.

The rapper turned actor was given an ultimatum by producers of the movie Oh Hell No — get vaccinated or get out. Cube said oh hell no to getting a jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, which means he walks — without the $9 million he stood to earn.

Producers are now looking for someone to fill the role Cube was set to play, starring alongside Jack Black.
