DONALD TRUMP: Liable in E. Jean Carroll Case

A New York City jury has found Donald Trump liable in the E. Jean Carroll lawsuit.

The jury found him liable of battery and defamation, but not of rape. Carroll's suit claimed that he raped her in a department store dressing room in 1996, and then defamed her in denying the allegation in 2022.

The jury awarded Carroll roughly $5 million in compensatory damages and $20,000 in punitive damages. (ABC News)
