Lyft has responded to requests from regular users and added a new feature that allows riders to choose the gender of their driver. The initiative, which is aimed at female and non-binary riders, isn't a guarantee: Lyft admits that while the majority of users are female or non-binary, only 23% of drivers can say the same. The company says it's trying to make the workforce more diverse.
