Experts say coffee prices are climbing due to rising costs for coffee beans, transportation, and labor, and will likely continue. Arabica beans and robusta beans especially have seen a huge price hike as a result of supply disruptions from some their largest producers in Vietnam and Brazil, as well as devastating droughts in some of these areas. Also, a growing demand for coffee in China has cut into the global supply. Now might be a good time to start drinking tea.
