Late Monday night, Diddy was taken into custody by Homeland Security agents at the Manhattan hotel where he was staying. The morning after, we now know what charges he’s facing, as the grand jury indictment has been unsealed.
Diddy is looking at three counts in total — racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Federal authorities are convinced that Diddy’s crimes date back until at least 2008, alleging that members of Combs enterprise “allegedly engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution, coercion and enticement to engage in prostitution, narcotics offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice. The indictment also contains a reference to the infamous “freak off” parties that Diddy hosted.
Meanwhile, his lawyer, Marc Agniflo vows to “fight like hell” to have his client released on bail, maintaining Diddy’s innocence. TMZ reports that he will appear before a judge this morning (Tuesday).
